The Purple Cobras took the victory as the 2023 Si Viney Tag Tournament raised £5000 in aid of The Wooden Spoon Society, MDNA Association and Barns Green RFC.
Now firmly into a second decade the Si Viney Tag Sevens at Barns Green, to celebrate the life of our friend Simon, raised in excess of £5000 to be distributed between The Wooden Spoon Society, The MND Association and Barns Green Rugby Club. Ten Teams competed, combining the mix of ages and genders to deliver highly paced, skilful and frequently comical games, punctuated with fancy dress and a boisterous and supportive set of spectators.
The deserved winners were the ‘Purple Cobras’ although we hope that all participants especially ‘Small but Deadly’ and every one of the younger players took away great memories of the day. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, auction prize givers, volunteers, players and excellent referees who made the day another Si Viney event to remember.
