Barns Green host Worthing RFC to the Field of Dreams for the second time this season.
The last time these teams met, Barns Green came away with the spoils in a tight game that suffered from testing conditions. Four months on and the conditions look again to be testing for both sides.
Worthing Azurians have struggled this season but have constantly showed potential of a very dangerous team. When Barns Green visited Worthing, they took a commanding leader before a Worthing come back which nearly stole the victory away from them so they have the ability to cause and upset. The Azurians recently claimed their first scalp in a commanding 55 - 7 win over Steyning after suffering a 39 - 12 defeat against Steyning the week prior. This win will no doubt have boosted their confidence and will look to build on this momentum against a Barns Green side who have suffered back to back defeats.
Although they have lost the last two games, the scores didn't tell the tale of the games. Barns Green will be looking to bounce back and there is no better time to do it at home in front of the VPs. Covid and injuries have ravaged this team but they won't let that stop their desire and heart to win. They will desperately want to get back on track and push again for the top of the table.
It will be a huge game for both teams and will no doubt be physical. The weather conditions suggest it could be a battle between the packs but with both sides hungry for the win you can't rule out both teams doing everything they can to get the points.
