TAGMANIAN DEVILS HAVE THEIR FIRST TRAINING SESSION

Barns Green RFC have taken a huge step towards building their youth ranks with the first training session of the Tagmanian Devils. Henry Birch of Worthing Raiders kindly came down to coach the little devils in an enthusiastic and fun session. Although this is only the begining of an exciting chapter for the village and club, it is the result of some fantastic work from Sandra Thomas and Emma Campbell who are the driving force behind the Tagmanian Devils.

Sandra had long thought it a real shame that Barns Green didn’t have some sort of rugby set up for youngsters local to the area, given that the village has such a strong and thriving Rugby Community for older teenagers and some of our more mature generations, that include both male and female participants.

With some determination and a plan in mind, Sandra teamed up with good friend and former rugby youth coach Emma Campbell and approached President Bill Bailey with the idea of setting up a youth team for the village. The seed was sown and the idea of Tagmanian Devils was thus born.
